Mustafa Taher
Managing Director
Having founded SMC Property in 2015 and as the company’s Managing Director, Mus leads SMC on all aspects of acquisition, planning, construction, investment, and asset management.
Mus comes from a legal background and has previously worked at the Bank of London and Reuters.
When hes not in the office, you will find Mus in a muddy field training his ever growing family of service dogs.
Laura Hebden
Head of Development
Starting at SMC in 2016, Laura oversees the day-to-day management the entire company portfolio and is involved in every stage of the development process from acquisition, to project conception, right through until practical completion.
Laura previously worked at Savills and holds a degree in Architectural Engineering & Design Management from Loughborough University.
On any given weekend you can bet Laura will be visiting a garden centre and spends much of her freetime gardening.
Kerri Hamlyn
Land Manager
Kerri has been with us at SMC since 2018, and runs the Land and New Homes side of the business.
Kerri has worked in real estate since graduating from University in Cardiff, and her passion for property shines through. She is integral in finding new sites to develop and ensuring they fit the SMC criteria. Kerri also oversees the Sales and Lettings function of SMC. Kerri is a real people person and enjoys developing and maintaining relationships to ensure a smooth delivery of all transactions.
A sunshine and music worshipper, you can more often than not find Kerri at a music festival having the time of her life.
Ryan Kelly
Technical Manager
Ryan joined SMC in 2021 and oversees all aspect of site progress which includes reviewing drawings from the design team, design development, value engineering, site visits to check build progress and reporting. Ryan is responsible for build quality control at Inglis Road as well as SMC forthcoming development, Chelsea Riverview.
Previous to joining SMC, Ryan worked at Berkeley Homes and studied Architecture at Anglia Ruskin University and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building.
Ryan is the master of weekend City breaks, visiting six countries this calendar year already with a few more planned in the months to come.
Jane Hoffman
Senior Marketing Manager
Jane joined SMC in 2021, having previously worked at residential developers Almacantar and Mount Anvil.
She oversees the marketing function of the business and is currently involved in the SMC rebrand and getting Chelsea Riverview ready for launch. A London native, she is most often found checking out new restaurants, cafes and bars in her local South West London area.
Iulia Turianu
Property Manager & Resident Liaison
Iulia is SMC’s Property Manager & Resident Liaison. She joined SMC in October 2022, after three years at Ocubis where she worked as a Head Receptionist & Senior Property Manager. Iulia is in charge of all tenant move-ins and is the friendly face from SMC that will take care of all resident queries throughout their tenancies. Iulia prides herself in taking the time to build individual relationships with all tenants and maintaining open lines of communication.
When Iulia isn’t at work, she loves to get her hands dirty in DIY planting projects with mini succulents and cacti, almost creating small new worlds of plant life, many of which have now begun to pop up in the SMC office!
Bruce
CCO (Chief Cuddles Officer)
French bulldog Bruce oversees all operations at SMC Property. He can most often be found lounging in the corner of the office keeping a watchful eye on everyone, or snuggling up to visitors in the hope for food and hugs.
HONG KONG OFFICE
Mr. Billy Yung
Chairman
Mr. Billy Yung is the founder and Director of SMC Investcorp Ltd. He has over 40 years of experience in real-estate investment and development in the USA, Canada, Holland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau and China. The properties he developed and constructed included high rise office and commercial complexes, residential properties, warehouses and detached houses.
Mr. Yung received a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Washington and a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University. He is a golf fanatic and you will most likely see him in the greenfield every weekend.
Cindy Li
General Manager
Cindy has been a company Director since 2016. She is experienced in managing the administration and business affairs in the office environment as well as property investments and developments in the USA and Hong Kong. Cindy loves pets and she enjoys walking along the hillside with her furry friends at leisure time.
